The Neurology Solutions Team

About Us

With a focus on restoring control and improving balance for patients with a variety of neuromuscular conditions, Neurology Solutions Movement Disorders Center provides its patients highly specialized and individualized care in a comfortable and accessible clinical setting. Neurology Solutions was founded in 2004 by Dr. Robert Izor, a fellowship-trained neurologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of complex neurological movement disorders. The center’s on-site physical therapy clinic, Austin Renewal Therapy, was opened in 2009.

Dr. Izor, who directs patient care, and the Neurology Solutions team take a hands-on approach to rehabilitative and proactive care of conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, multiple sclerosis, and recovery from spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and stroke. We work closely with patients and their families to develop therapies to manage and slow the progression of conditions and help maintain a high quality of life, using an individualized strategy that includes:

  • Assessing the underlying causes of the patient’s dysfunction as well as determining other contributing factors;
  • Developing a care plan with the patient and physician to increase balance and control and address the physical, emotional and mental health needs of the patient;
  • Employing the most effective techniques and adjusting treatments as the patient’s needs change and;
  • Providing thoughtful and thorough explanations of treatment options to address  the patient’s illness, and giving them the tools to manage their condition.

The Neurology Solutions care team is comprised of an advanced practice family nurse practitioner, a physician assistant and a licensed physical therapist with specialized training in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, pain management, kinesiology and deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapy. A leading Parkinson’s treatment center, Neurology Solutions was named the largest private Medtronic Parkinson’s DBS implantation clinic in Texas and the fourth-largest such clinic in the country.
